Recommendations for a integrated amp

Lately I have been thinking going integrated from separates. I been interested in an integrated amp so I can keep it simpler with less signal chain. Also am looking for one that has a USB input so I can eliminate my interface as a dac. I am mainly looking SS but is not limited to. My budget is around 4k but I  am flexible. This will be powering a pair of Triangle  BR03 speakers.

BTW,  I currently have a Rotel RC-995 preamp and a Acurus A150 amp with a Focusrite interface as a dac using Tidal on my laptop as a source.

"We're you referring a 4k budget that includes both amplification and speakers?"

Yes, as finding a nice amp/speaker combo is quite feasible within that budget.

Having looked up your location (I'm in CA as well) I understand that auditioning gear is not a simple task.

The only dealer I'm aware of that is sort of close to you is Gene Rubin Audio who is south of Santa Cruz).

I also assume that the "USB input" requirement will be a limiting factor, but if it's big on the wish list you might look for a used PS Audio Sprout100 (read up on it) that sells in the $400-$500 range (hey other people suggested amps).

Another on the short list is the musical fidelity M6Si. A beast and its rival I think is the Hegel 390.  Both should prove contenders.

@dekay I appreciate your comment. I like the idea of a matched combo set that will work with needs. I am in the central California area and finding a dealer near in the area a rare. I would have to drive at least 3 hours for an audition. As with USB input, I intend further down the road to get an external DAC/Streamer .

@polkalover I was, in some point, was looking at Musical Fidelity M6si.

Simaudio just announced its new integrated 371 network player. A bit more than your price point. Their internal DAC and phono stage are fantastic . Had the Moon 390. +10 year warranty on their product. Otherwise I would go for a used Hegel 390. Good luck and keep us posted.

Used Hegel H390 (destroys the H190), can be found around $4,000, definitely very solid mid-fi

You might also take a look at Advance Paris, they have been getting some good press and reviews.....though I have no personal experience, they are LOADED with features. The A12 model can easily be found new for under $4,000, and the all-in-one 250 for not much more. Worth looking into if nothing else.
