I heard a Proac D30 with a Grommes PHI-26 at Arizona HIFI years ago.  The Grommes is a 6 watt SEP amp.  Sounded pretty nice.  I bought the Grommes.

I owned a pair of Proac D-30R's for a while. Great speaker but needs some space to do its thing. The ribbon tweeter is very revealing and extended but set up correctly its wonderful. You have a lot of options with amps. I ran mine with a Pass Labs XA 30.8, Manely Snappers and an Audio Note Cobra. All of them sounded great but I will admit that the Cobra was my favorite. You don't need a lot of power to run them and I have to say they do sound better with tubes. If I recall correctly,Stewart Tyler (Mr Proac) voiced his speakers with the ARC Ref 75SE.

In my sunroom, I had beautiful sound from a pair of Proac 1SC’s on sand-filled steel Target Audio stands, driven by a Pass Aleph 3 (30 wpc stereo),  The source was a Mark Levinson 390S cd player/preamp.  A REL Strata II filled in the bottom end nicely, and all cabling was Cardas Golden Cross.  All powered through an API Power Wedge conditioner.

For background listening, I also had an SAE Mark VIII fm tuner hooked up to the other (digital) input of the Mark Levinson, using an inexpensive analog-to-digital converter for compatibility.
