聖HIJIRI Users thread

Based on a discussion with another forum member, I've been reading up on this Comback Corporation brand. The reviews I've found have been pretty positive, but I've also learned over the years to take all reviews with a grain of salt. So the purpose of this thread is for users to share their input on 聖HIJIRI cables. When you share, if you'd discuss what model of HIJIRI you demoed and what brands/models they were compared to, that'd be very helpful.

A little background: a few years ago I was reading the Audio Envy threads and decided to give them a try as the seemed to compete with much higher-priced cable.  So I decided to give AE a try. I found both the $179 P2 and the $279 M3 to easily best an Isotek power cord at $1k. So that got me thinking even more about value products. I was about to give Zavfino a try and then was given another recommendation to give HIJIRI a try. So this is how I got here. I'll be very interested to hear all user comments on HIJIRI and this should be a good repository for the brand.

Is anybody using a Hijiri from the wall to their power distributor or conditioner? I have a Puritan 156 and use the 20a cable that came with the unit though I did change out the plugs to Furutech NCF that I already had available. I was looking at the Puritan Ultimate cable but it’s $800 which is getting close to Nagomi price range. Just wondering if anybody has used a Hijiri in this application as I’m quite happy with what the Nagomi’s do for my amp, preamp, and dac.

Yes, I have a 20 amp Hijiri Nogami power cord from my wall outlet to my Puritan 156. I liked it more than the $800 Puritan cord in my system. It works wonderfully for me and my system.

I also have the Nogami on my amp, dac and server.

If my system runs on the warm side, would the “bloom” that I read about with Hijiri Nagomi power cord be a bad suggestion? Perhaps if I’m looking for transparency and clarity, Hijiri maybe not the direction I should go?

Genuinely curious of others’ experiences.

No worries as Hijiri cables are not characterized by an overly warm or syrupy sound.  They are naturally revealing and in my experience not really favoring any particular part of the sound spectrum.  Best to contact Colin of Gestalt Audio Design and simply try for yourself.  Nothing beats actual experience with a product in your own system!
