PSB STRATUS GOLD / LEGACY AUDIO FOCUS

I am looking for a comparison between the PSB Stratus Gold and the Legacy Audio Focus series.

I own Stratus and I wonder if the Legacy is good enough to tempt upgrade?

The original PSB Stratus series is still worthy of being considered a reference speaker. No kidding.
I don’t know what world you guys live in but my legacy focus 20/20s are impeccable to say the least. Everything, soundstage, spl, and power handling there rated at 600 watts and I’m running two sunfire signature twos (600s) got them vertically biwired one running one speaker and the other amp running the other speaker along with a legacy Goliath subwoofer(2\15s with two thousand watts) and I’m in musical bliss. You can’t go wrong with the focus.
I've also heard a number of current generation Legacy speakers including the Focus. What paimei is describing sounds like any speaker poorly set up. His blanket description is unlike any Legacy speaker I've heard.

I have not heard the PSB Stratus Gold so I can't help you there.

The OP would be making a big mistake not auditioning both before buying, the choice of speaker being the most important audio decision one can make. Purchasing anything based on the opinions on this forum would be highly risky.
We sre a dealer for both the older psbs are good the current legacys ere far superior theydo have far greater clarity so they couldsound brighter then the psbs

Only heard the Stratus Gold one time back in the 90s. Sounded slow and plodding to me, with no dynamics or inner detail. They were only average at best 20+ years ago.

Now that I see I was sucked into a ten year old thread, I'm embarrassed.
