systemdek IIX motor stopped working

I was playing a record and it ground to a halt.  I took off the platter and the motor is def getting power I can feel it vibrating but it's not spinning.  The Platter spins very smoothly without the belt attached.  Any obvious thing to look for here?  Maybe just needs a new motor? Thank you.

Maybe the motor just needs a drop or two of oil.

Can you spin the shaft/pulley with your fingers? If it spins freely you have to look for an electrical fault. Electric motors are very simple, not much to go wrong mechanically other than bearings in which case you won't be able to spin the shaft or it will grind for you.

There is a little bit of resistance not much if I spin the motor shaft by hand, it won't spin freely but it does turn fairly easily just won't coast on it's own after spinning it.  The platter will spin for a while it is very smooth
