Can Anyone Identify this Tube Preamp?

I inherited this from my father. He said he bought it online 20 years ago from some tube amp "guru" but cannot remember who made it. 
I would like to get any information I can on it. I figured if anyone can recognize this, it would be you guys.

I would have to agree the lack of branding and hand writing on the chassis looks like a home built preamp.

Approx. 18 years ago I shipped a bunch of 5687’s to people making Akito and DIY Paradise "type" preamplifiers from both scratch and partial kits.

Think that ModWright had one too.

DIYAUDIO.com might also be a good place to post the pics (you would have to register to do so).

Sorry I couldn’t resist, but seriously it really doesn’t look like a DIY kit from anywhere - if is, then holy....?.  
I concur with what ebm said, very likely it was just some homemade thing in someone’s basement...
