If you don’t mind Chi-Fi, the LHY LPS should be on your list of considerations. I have LPS25VA and LPS15VA. Both are dead quiet and good performers. The LPS25VA has two outputs, suitable for powering two low-current-demand sources. The cost is around $190.
Power Supply recommendation
I have a defective wall wart on one of my stereo network devices. Can anyone recommend some brands/sources of good quality power supplies. I need a 5V .5 amp output. Not looking for anything in the thousands but have no problem spending a few hundred or so for something good. Also Chinese made is fine if its good quality.
Cheap one trick pony,....Topping P50, $130
If you are looking for something better, I use a few of these KECES units for $550 Since they have dual independent outputs and can accommodate a variety of voltages (5V, 9V, 12V, etc), it’s a more flexible option as your needs change. https://power-holdings-inc.com/Keces-P6-6-Amp-Linear-Power-Supply-p485459710 |
@deep_333 No offense, but I tried the P50 a while ago. The power supply lacks headroom and generates a lot of heat. My Lhy lps, 15 or 25 watts, gen. literally no heat. |
Ifi Silent Power products are good, and so are Sbooster. Enjoy! |
First, thank you for your brilliant post on one of my previous discussions. Unfortunately, it was removed by the moderator! Wish your post would have stood the test of time, but this moderator is rather careless. You were right on the mark. Cal Test CT4476 - 5V AC/DC Switching Wall Mount Adapter (100-240V, 50/60Hz, 0.5A) | TEquipment Cal Test is a top-notch brand. Used their products in the past for mission critical electronics. Very reliable and great specs. They are typically known as "test grade" and calibrated to provide better ripple performance for longstanding reliability. Shouldn’t negatively impact anything... might even improve it! Good luck! Have a great night.

@052rc I'm not looking for a $2K-$3K power supply for a network device. I thought The Cable company only lent out cables? |
