Connecting a subwoofer

Hi everyone, I’m wondering whether I can connect my subwoofer directly to my amp. My VTL  preamp is temporarily out of service, so I’m listening to music the following way.

Wiim pro streamer>Auralic Aries DAC>MC275>Sonus Faner Olympica I.

In the current setup my B&W sub is out of the picture, can I plug the sub into the amp, if so, how?

Thanks

If the B&W has speaker level binding posts you can connect the sub just like a pair of speakers to the Amp.

assuming you don't have speaker level inputs (usually spring loaded), you can get something like this:

I think you need something like what @erik_squires recommended.  I think you have only line level inputs and not speaker level inputs.

If it’s like my SVS subwoofer, you run a RCA cable from the adjustable pre out.

All the best.

Get a pair of Y connectors with 1M>2F configuration and run your existing RCAs from the Auralic DAC to both the McIntosh and the Sub in parallel….if you don’t want to use the Sub’s HPF, which I assume you don’t.  Audioquest makes some nice ones.

You can run your powered sub from the rca outputs on your dac. Run your XLR dac outputs to your power amp.

Thanks for all the suggestions, crustcoot your suggestion is what I ended up using, which works, at least until I get my pre looked at.
