What Irish music will you be playing on St Pat's?

Some of my favorites are: "I'll tell me ma" by Van Morrison or the Chieftains, and I'm a sucker for a good version of "Danny Boy." There are lots more but I thought I'd leave some for others to post.

What do ya like?

James Galway and the Chieftains in Ireland, on green vinyl of course. An excellent recording.
I'll be playing"Thank God I'm Not Irish" by the Highway Five or John Valby has another one of my favorite irish songs.
Patrick Street, 3 Irish Times 3, a great album
"In a Town this Size", Delores Keane & John Prine, she's a prize
Of course Van..."there stands the glass" might be fitting off his new Pay the Devil album. I heard he just played the Ryman auditorium in Nashville to kick-off the new release. anyone go?

raise a glass lads!!!!!!!!
and I'm a sucker for a good version of "Danny Boy."

As am I, and we all have our favourites ... and for me, the one that gives me a huge rush of emotion is on the Telarc SACD-60571 Erich Kunzel - Cincinnati Pops Orchestra called "A Celtic Spectacular".

The tenor John McDermott takes my breath away; and when the dynamics kick in on:

"But come ye back when summer's in the meadow"

... I'm in a sweet, green place.
