Cable Elevators

Just curious if anyone is using cable elevators and what changes they brought about. I have read there are benefits to having cables raised off the carpet.

IMO any cable that is affected by it proximity to any non magnetic or electrical objectt is insufficienlty insulated.

Electricity is real, for sure, but the effects of surroundings on the SOUND quality of the signal carried is less real.
