CD/SACD player Under $4000
Looking for a new player. My Sony XA5400 won't play sacd's. Tried a new laser assembly but still won't play sacd's. Like to find something at least as good as the Sony. Does not need to be a network player. Open for suggestions!

Buy another XA-5400 for 1300 or so. Bought mine second hand 2 years ago had no problems and am listening to it playing Pretzel Logic CD right now. Plays CD’s very well and is ALSO a great CD transport into my Gungnir Multibit (A2) DAC. I found a used OPPO BDP-83 that plays just about any disk format you can come up with. Digital out, into whatever DAC you have works well. It's rock solid and although Oppo is not being made any longer, their service department is still open for business. Inexpensive transport and spend the balance on your DAC.
