@devinplombier If he’s not willing to show the real pics, who knows what kind of condition they are in?  And if he sends me other pics, how do I know those are real? They may be pieces of junk.  And even if they aren’t, life is too short to deal with folks like that IMO.  Even if it is just for a relatively inexpensive set of vintage speakers and only a few hours of my time to go see them.   As a seller, be transparent.  Be upfront.  Don’t waste time.  But hey, that’s me.  Perhaps some other guy gets a great deal. Too many good sellers to deal with one that appears to be a little sketchy. As for me, I’ll continue to learn more about Thiel’s and look elsewhere!

As I was assembling my current set-up, I would ask the dealer/retailer about (A)mperes delivery.  If he did not know, I would be directed to the manufacturer representative. That person further asked the Engineer for the value. Simple.

thiels’s are great..I have 3.7s, 2.3, msc1, scs2s.  I’ve bought most of the used.  And of course my Amps are pretty much 2nd hand.  
 

so all I can say is don’t waste a trip.  Get all info and real pictures up front, Check serial numbers, etc.  don’t spend time fishing for answers - if you don’t get them go find the next deal.

@ekohn00 well said. My thoughts exactly. So with so many of the speakers models in your arsenal, which are your favorites and why?

@rjduncan truly a no brainer. the CS3.7 stand out. However, I was very very surprised how great the MCS1 turned out to be. Note that I only have one for my center channel and it was an amazing replacement for the SCS3 it replaced.

It's been a while since I've used the 2.3s for music. they're wasted as my rear channels right now. If I had the space in my office, I'd probably invest in another AMP and move these there.
