UL and CE are not "standards"; they are merely certification marks awarded by test houses indicating the product has passed specific test requirements. You pay to play, but those marks in and of themselves don't indicate quality or design integrity.

My Isotek power conditioner, which I purchased about a year ago,came with a nice power cable, but I was considering upgrading to the Isotek Optimum, which sold for $1295. But I waited. The price then jumped to $1395, but again, I hesitated. I just looked again today and the price was $1995. Needless to say, I am not buying it. I’m sure some of you have experienced the same thing. Unfortunately, I cannot find any on the used market. I’ve seen this happen before in the past, but I’ve usually purchased what I wanted before major price increases.
