@audphile1 both with an N20 in the living room and in my bedroom Gato DIA 400-S NPM. Both hardwired to the router. |
Hah. No streaming service I have is remotely as messed up as Roon. 5 years of drop outs, hangups, unexplained loss of devices on the network, hundreds of hours on their 1000 pages of forum support (that should be a warning sign), hardwiring my entire house and stil lit hangs up. Quboz is pretty solid on its own though sometimes I get the "media is loading slowly" prompt for no reason. Roon's annoying enough that I keep an entire BlueSound network and services in place - its the most dependable rock solid, always works streaming set up I've ever had. I'm not renewing Roon. The interface is great, but that's it. There isn't a day that goes by that it doesn't bug out. |
Sorry to hear that @speedthrills . What are you running Roon Core on? I formerly had big issues with a Roon Nucleus. Having moved on to better Core devices, roon is finally rock solid. |
@kirkwallace that’s interesting. The N20 has a large SSD where it caches the music you’re playing - if you are using the Conductor app. Pretty much the entire playlist is stored. I’d say if you happened to access the albums you’re experiencing issues with back when Qobuz had problems, just clear the cache on the Aurender (there’s an option to do that in settings). But you’re reporting the same behavior with your other streamer. I played the exact same album using roon/qobuz and had no problems. Something is up. Still, try to clear the cache and play that Miles album again |
