Wilsons new flagship

Maybe I am getting old but Wilsons new flagship $780k  and they feel it is justified,

lit gets better if you want custom paint $110,000 they said it takes 2 days to paint both speakers, Jays audio lab commented and I think it was way too much and

$110k for $300 in paint is nuts that is truly taking advantage of everyone with wealth, imo only an idiot would pay that. I guess nothing should surprise me any more !!

However going by a very recent tête à tête of mine, and assuming it has a representative nature, I’d say chances for that to happen (i.e.: an audiophile invasion of pro market grounds) are slim. It’s really their feathers that are ruffled when you’re trying to correct disinformation and a less knowledgeable, preconceived approach to named realm of speakers.

Ironic.

$110k for $300 in paint is nuts that is truly taking advantage of everyone with wealth, imo only an idiot would pay that.

If a person can afford to throw that kind of money, he probably had the brains to earn that much wealth. $110k is probably $1 for such person. I would not call such a person idiot, if he has the brains and the knack to make that kind of money.

This way, we all would be idiots per the people who live on food stamps. Everyone has their life and choices.

@skinzy exactly. I don't care how Wilson prices their new speakers-if they were $300k cheaper it would still be irrelevant to me. If someone chooses to buy them, its not my business. Its not illegal or immoral and its their money. I also don't know the motivation for making such a purchase, but a lot of people seem to be able to read the minds of people they have never met. If I had to guess, I would guess that the folks who buy those speakers don't give a damn about what we think of their choice in loudspeakers.
