Is anyone still using a CD Player

I have a bunch of CDs and the Krell 505 player.  I find myself defaulting to my Aurender Streamer and never listening to CDs.   I’m considering getting a CD Ripper and loading them via HSD or SSD card and loading into the Aurender.  Thoughts?  Am I in the dark ages even keeping the CD Player?

YES to @kbmr 100%   From one film fan to another…..

This discussion reminds me of Clint Eastwood’s famous catch line in “Magnum Force”

”A man has to know his limitations”

Using just one format is exactly the same.

“…You have to ask yourself one question”  …..  “Dirty Harry”

Same rules… would anyone only want to see a film on a small screen?

Listening to music seems to be one of the few activities left where you don’t HAVE to use a touchscreen. I would rather clean an LP any day than swipe swipe swipe etc.

@thelotusgroup "I do 5 different treatments to CDs (the ones I really want to listen to) and the difference from before and after is staggering"

What are the treatments that you do?

Keep my CDs. Ripped most of them to a flash drive for road trips  Harmon Kardon system in my Subaru. My internet service was raided by private equity with crumbs snapped up by an inept useless giant. Streaming is not reliable.

This is the order of sound quality from top to bottom.  CD's, rips, streaming.  This was verified by a demo of all three with the same masters.
