@antinn Have you ever considered making a hard copy of your book? I am quite certain there would be a sizable market for it. Like most folks I do not mind reading downloaded material but I would prefer a hard copy for the ease of looking up stuff.
Record cleaning fluid for degritter machine
So using the advice of this and other forums, I purchased the surfactant Tergitol 15-S-9 and a small bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol to replace the record cleaning additive that degritter sells to add to the distilled water after degassing. Since only a few drops of the degritter solution are required, I figure that adding a couple of drops of the surfactant and of the alcohol sounds about right. What do you think?

The answer is no. Couple of reasons - the demand for a hard copy version is quite low - only a few people have asked, and a hard-copy version can get expensive especially when considering the different editions. The electronic format is convenient; it easily supports new editions; it allows a drop-down table of contents to be displayed to jump to any Chapter, and the document is cross-linked to jump to any reference; the PDF version has an easy search function, and in PDF, alt-back arrow allow you to return to wherever you were. |
Tergitol 15-S-3, and Tergitol 15-S-9 Surfactants. Post rinsing - maybe. Residue is so small likely inaudible, but some claim to hear differences. See Stereophile article which I find helpful. I’m not a fan of adding another machine especially with a large footprint to rinse like a VPI unit. Took a long look at the Record Doctor VI. Still on fence. |
@antinn What’s your ebook, like to check it out. Prior to the Stereophile article it was VERY CONFUSING!!! Add sufficient or not, if so which one? - so many to choose from, so many different opinions. To rinse or not, opinions on both sides also. I’m glad I’m at the near the end of deciding |
