Mark Levinson 23.5 or 27.5 owners

I have recently had my ML27.5 repaired, and I'm hearing some distortion most noticeable on female vocals but also soprano sax etc. What I'm also noticing is that after switching the amp off the red LED pilot light dims but does no go out completely and only will if I pull the power cable. The amp stood idle for about 9 years and can't remember if the LED always behaved that way. Anyone with the same amp able to comment.

That's normal.  Power supply capacitors are discharging.

No I do not think it is normal. The LED remains dimly lit for a week or more and does not slowly diminish and die. If I pull the power cable with the switch on the LED goes out completely so it's not cap discharge.

Yes, that's not normal.  Probably a leaky power supply related capacitor is the cause.

My 27.5 light dims then completely goes out when powering off.
