Items from audiophile's estate, list and photos link provided; helpful advice appreciated!

Hello,

I'm tasked with selling audio equipment from the estate of a late friend. I'm hoping to sell it all as a lot, but may have to list the best of the items individually. For pricing, I tried to find similar items at "SOLD" prices. I then reduced my price by 50% since I haven't tested any of the equipment. I want to be very fair, but the goal, of course, is to help with my friend's final expenses. I'd appreciate any constructive comments; thank you!

Thanks toro3, that's all good advice and appreciated. I'll do as you suggest when I have some items ready with prices for individual sale. I've never used US Audio Mart but will certainly check it out, too.

I agree about Paypal Friends & Family, too. That said, I sure wouldn't want anyone to be dissatisfied with their purchase, and that might be tough when selling by mail. I'll be sure to explain that the items are untested, and sold only as parts only/non working or something similar. While all the gear could probably benefit from some TLC, my guess is most is in fair to good working condition with the exception of some of the obvious partial R2R units. There's no profit at all in this for me, it's just for my friend's final expenses. While I want to take care of this with his best interests in mind, I also want whomever gets one or more bits of his gear to be very happy.

Thanks again for your thoughts! I'll keep them in mind. Have a nice week!

Hello jazzguy43,

Thanks for your interest. When I get the items priced to list individually instead of as a lot, I'll PM you the price on the Tascam. Have a nice day!

Call your local dealer and ask them if they can help you price out the items.  Trade in value versus current retail value.

Hello bigkidz.

If I lived near a city that would be a great option. It's probably more than 100 miles to an audio establishment of any consequence. I've contacted a few of those with no luck. Thanks for the suggestion, though! Have a nice weekend!
