The mystery is why you seem mystified about being disinvited, particularly after apparently questioning the proposed music selections, recommending "changes" to the recently completed "most famous listening room in the country", and becoming overly emotional to the point where you "spilled an entire glass of merlot wine on a new carpet".
I suggest taking a step back, re-reading the response by @kennyc, and trying to understand how your own behavior contributed to the consequence. In addition, sending a hand-written apology and sincere offer to reimburse damages wouldn’t hurt.
As a hint, doubling down in your last sentence on your recommendation that he "consider buying a couch" is a step in the wrong direction.
