Posting photos?

I recently attempted to add a photo with a comment here. Both dragging the photo and copying and pasting the IMG failed. This is with an iMac.

I ask Amazon how to do this and just received a reply suggesting asking others how they succeeded. So, summary help will be appreciated.

My instructions are for when inserting an image in a post, like I did above. When uploading images to your virtual system, that is different, and easier, you choose images on your computer (or elsewhere) and you do NOT tell it any size, the site automatically re-sizes those for you.

I learned I couldn't post a photo directly from my computer, so I entered my system description along with two photos. That seems to be successful as you discovered. However my problem then happened when I attempted to paste the photo of my record storage, now attached to my system, along with a comment to another post. I described two failures with that attempt yesterday.
