Posting photos?

@elliottbnewcombjr, I did enter 600 in the Width box but it came our compressed.

This looks fairly good in your post but needed better exposure.  I first tried flash but that reflected in the TV.  I was in a hurry so just turned off the flash here.  However what I wanted to post on a different subject was my record racks.  I’ll try again, verifying the 600.

I tried twice more.  First verifying the 600 was entered, but still compressed.  I tried once more, and when I entered the URL numbers appeared for W and H.  Those looked proportional so I OK'ed that.  I still saw the horizontal compression. ???

I get it. My instructions are for when inserting an image in a post, like I did above. 

When uploading images to your virtual system, that is different, and easier, you choose images on your computer (or elsewhere) and you do NOT tell it any size, the site automatically re-sizes those for you.
