@zlone asked good questions. If you have optical isolation (i.e., a fiber optic cable break before your streamer) or if you are using wireless, a LPS would be less likely to make much difference. Another option that might help would be additional transformer isolation as provided by the Network Acoustic muon or ENO products.
I use a LPS to power my modem and router but I happened to have an extre HD Plex power supply sitting around doing nothing. I run fiber from the music server in my network room to the streamer in my main system room and I can’t say I heard much/any difference between using the stock SMPS on my modem and router and powering them with the LPS.
