Your Opinion of Coda CSiB Integrated Amplifier?

Hello to all:

I am considering a Coda CSiB amplifier (the 18 watt class A version).  I would be using it with an easy to drive pair of speakers (89dB/watt) at very moderate levels, so no issue with needing high current/big power.  If you have this amplifier, or have listened to it to any degree, what do you think of it?  Many Thanks!

@sbwheelrepair What your saying is that the Coda No 8 didn't work as well for you as the Classe amp with your Wilson speakers, your preamp, etc.  The Classe Delta Mono amps that I see on eBay are $6500 each which is about the cost of a new Coda.

The Classe Delta Mono amps go for $12K each when new.  I would strongly hope that the Classe amps would sound better than the Coda No 8, which goes for just $6800 stereo.  I cannot see a way that a lower cost product could hope to match a $24K pair of mono blocks as far as bass and control.

Regarding the 3 different class A versions of the Coda CSiB, does anyone know if there are sonic differences between them (with all else being equal)?  I have heard that the CSiB V1 (18 watts class A) is closest to the sound of the Coda 5.5 power amplifier (50 watts class A).

For the delta monos I’ve seen used ones trade from $9k-$12k, the stereo has been in the $5-$6k range. While it’s not an integrated amp I can tell you the value on used market is very high. I have several preamps I tried with the no.8 v2 before it sold including Nagra melody, Nagra classic (tube) preamp and the delta preamp. If buying brand new then coda is still a good value but if searching for a used product then I suggest you keep an eye on on the delta amps.. seriously, I went through several amps to actually “beat” the delta amps and it wasn’t until I spent over double where I actually beat what I had. With all the great reviews you find “right on this site mainly” for the coda no.8 I was honestly expecting it to be a much better piece of gear. Good luck on your journey finding your next amp!

^^ and as far as speakers I have many including not only the Sasha daw’s but also tad E1tx, Fischer and Fischer sn70’s, Kef r3 meta and I’ve had a ton of others but when I was on the lookout for references for amps to “beat” the delta range of amps I landed on a gryphon antileon evo in one system and the TAD reference M700s in my second rig.
