Your Opinion of Coda CSiB Integrated Amplifier?

FWIW, I replaced a perfectly good class d purifi eigentakt amp (NAD M33) with the CSiB v2 and there is no comparison.  The M33 was accurate and polite/boring. Overall, the sonics were, to pick a word, subdued. (Of course the pretty poor BlueSound streamer module and the ESS DAC implementation may have been more to blame.)

On the whole, I’d echo @audphile1 ’s description, and with much more grip, drive and life-like sound than the M33.  Ultimately, however, with my other equipment and speakers, though I felt like it wasn’t giving enough warmth and flesh on the bones.  In a couple weeks, #OP,  if you can wait that long and don’t mind that it’s V2 (250 wpc with Class A for the first 12), TMR will have a pristine, 6-month old black model on their site. I am sorry to part with it because it is beautifully made, but just not the right device for me/my room.

To me, It leans cool overall. It’s very slight and easy to balance out. 
As I mentioned in my earlier post the bass is fast and articulate, it has crystalline clarity in the mids but it’s not analytical or cold, extended and airy treble. 

I bought CSiB when I had Pass X260.8 mono amps with XP-22 dual chassis preamp. I sold the Pass separates. Yes there were things Pass did better but the Coda was more expressive and engaging vs the laid back and warm Pass. 
Few weeks in, I bought a Boulder 866 (absolutely love it). My friend bought the CSiB from me so I still get to hear it in his system. 
 

@slaw i should clarify that one thing I was trying, but see that I failed entirely, to say is, as @atmasphere has said repeated and @hilde45 did a whole amazing series of posts on recently, D amps do not all sound the same. I have a class D Gato DIA 400S in my bedroom system (Pascal module) and it sounds nothing like my M33 did. It is a touch warmer in tone than the CSiB, but maybe a touch less resolving.  Both excellent amps, both excellent with my Joseph Audio Perspectives. The Gato is more pleasing to me than the M33 was, and all 3 are pretty different.  

I thought the Coda CSIB sounded better in my system than Pass 250.8 and a two piece XP-22 pre. This was driving my Harbeth 40.2 Anni's.

Its a terrific Integrated. Audiophile 1 has had extremely high end systems, and he raves about this Integrated.

While I don’t want to knock a fine American made product such as coda which the owner is a legend and worked alongside with Nelson pass in his earlier years, I for one wasn’t too impressed with my coda no. 8 V2 which has the medium class a bias. I was coming from classe delta monos and those had much more control and bass over my Wilson Sasha daw’s.. for used market value the delta range of gear from classe is very hard to beat. I just sold my last delta amp which was a stereo version for just under $5k used. I’ve got a delta preamp left that im still using but it’s now also for sale as I’ve had many amps and preamps and I prefer the sound of a tube preamp.
