Why for the life of me I can’t stay awake when listening to Music?

I really don’t understand how someone can stay all night long listening to music? I read reviewers saying I started listening for hours till 2-3 in the morning. Well, I am 62 yo and as soon as I play music man I feel sleepy. I don’t think that is listening fatigue, it must be the opposite of it. I become so relaxed and my eyes start shutting down lol. Is that normal? Is it my equipments that makes me feel so relaxed or is it my advanced age? Can I do anything different to my system?
I am not sure if this topic came up before and may sound silly but I thought I ask in case someone else on this forum has the same issue.

@jnovak That is very similar to what I do. I make sure to walk between 4-5 miles a day. Recently, I started taking a quick 30 min nap and that helps me to stay up to 10:30-11pm but once I start listening to music around 10:00pm, I feel that accelerate my sleepiness time.

Take a sativa based gummy...if you're not used to them you could freak out which at least should keep you awake.

Some of the most enjoyable moment for me is when I am able to fall into the music with my eyes closed and stay at the edge of being awake and not. Sometimes I can  just  stay there for a long time... crossing back and forth across the line.

I'm able to do that with my headphone system in FL(winter home).  I listen first thing in the morning while others are still sleeping. I get up very early, usually..shortly after 5am... I'd sleep longer if I could, but..

Sometimes when I do lean back in my chair with the phones on I do reach that nether-world toeing the line of sleep..conscious, though only enough to hear the music.  It's a wonderful place to be.

Listening to my system at home the rest of the year, first thing in the morning..I'm jamming with coffee..wide awake..that's great too.

Change your chair its probably so comfortable that along with some great music you relax completely into sleep. So a hard chair and no way to put your legs up. I know as I quite often suffer the same sleepiness and napping as you. Its really disconcerting to enjoy tracks one to three and then awake at number 8. Its also about the state you sit down to listen. However I’d say your system must be organic and warm so nothing to worry about there.
