2026 best deal in audiophile class D stereo amp?

My new super incredible speakers (canton reference 2.2 dc)require power!  Looking for something that will give them 300-500 watts into 8ohms of quality sound.  I’m a tube guy (SET amps) and hoping for something that’s worth it in the $1k to $2k range.  Lot of deals in the used heavy duty class a or or a/b but,  I’m getting old and it’s just as good and only weight 20lbs.... why not try it??

I could suggest 2 amps I’m using now: HIFI Rose RA280, a GanFet with some pre-amp features at $3395 (there’s  also  a $6995 RA180), and the other a Rogue Audio Hybrid Dragon Stereo ($3995).

Listening to my Atmasphere Class D amps now that the weather is warming up.  Normally use their S30 OTL.  I must say every time I put the Class D amps back in they seem to sound still better.  I’m a tube guy too, but…..

If I was building a new system today, Ganfets would be the way to go.

this is above your price range, but, I am super happy with my purchase.

RCVTech MPA-1200 monoblocks. 380 wpc 8ohms, 700 wpc 4 and 2 ohms. Beats my Mark Levinson 532H amp, more detail, more bass, more stereo separation, just plain better.

I considered Buckeye Purifi Eigentakt but I live in Canada, and if I need service, RCVTech are a few hours drive away.

My longstanding friends all thought I was nuts to upgrade, and now they are blown away.  I am not affiliated in any way with this company... lol
