the one that got away - how do you handle grief?

I just lost a bid for my dream speakers that I had been chasing for a decade. It was pretty stupid because I missed the last hour and maybe I would have won it with another $100. But maybe it's a sign, it's just a piece of hardware, that I should not be obsessed with. - "you can't always get what you want"

Did you always get the gear you thought would make you whole?

@elliottbnewcombjr I have this album :)

@zlone yes, I communicated with the seller. I plan to see it if and when I am NJ/NYC. I am regularly in MA so it may happen later this year. It’s a bit beat up, but cosmetic condition is not my main concern.

@kennyc you are pretty smart my friend and I am, to put it lightly, only learning from my own mistakes (after the 3rd, same one) crying

@mag16 sweet story! It’s funny how many times MBLs are mentioned here.

I bid all day and all night and all I got is this stupid t-shirt and this annoying comment from @thecarpathian

@douglas_schroeder nice way of implying I am a loser and sore loser and complaining little b%tch. Yes, possibly. However this is not so much a material, more of an emotional pursuit.

I didn't think it was that annoying.

Not as annoying as this one:

Elbuktál, mert az Univerzum gyűlöl téged! 😃

I was watching "Your friends and neighbors" when the pawn lady said: there was only one dog fair in Buda. Guess what John Hamm said @thecarpathian
