Groove-Glide vrs Last Record Preservative

I use either LAST, or both. And I do mean BOTH. So, normal LAST application first, and then GG. Been using this method for decades with no ill effects, Back in the early 90s, I spoke with LAST in Livermore, CA, and asked whether it was safe to use BOTH. They claimed no problem. 

I also use Stylast, which is a stylus tip coolant that is effective for about 20 min.

I have styli going back to mid 1980s with over 2K hours, but they look and sound new. 

Note: before applying the LAST or GG, the records have to be very clean (so the treatments can interface with the LP pvc molecules as much as possible).  LAST’s own Power Cleaner is fine for this. Or you can use a machine. Then apply the treatment/preserv. of choice.

Good hygiene practices, like CF brush and stylus brush, are a must. And your ’table/arm is , of course, properly calibrated . 

Gruv Glide smells delicious!

From my experience with both, Gruv Glide is a coating that your stylus will pick up. Last actually is absorbed into the record.

Never tried groove glide. I use LAST and not on every record…I’m not that diligent. 
I do hear smoother sound though. 
I clean new records before playing them and that’s irrespective of whether I apply LAST or not. 

I included my full bottle of Gruv Glide in a package deal with a vacuum cleaner years ago.
