With that moniker you were always going to be disappointed after the first time…😅

Never! I always: * do my homework 1st * always make sure I have a 30+ day trial period * always demo the piece in my house, in my treated room, how does it sound with my other gear (synergy) * sometimes the new gear is a newer piece of the same brand with the same sound signature that I like I have had some new gear that made me change some existing pieces or get rid of things that I no longer needed. For example, my new speakers sound better without the 1st reflection panels installed. |
@rbstehno Me, neither, for pretty much the same reasons. The nearest that I've come to disappointment like that was the struggle with a smaller room after moving house, but I've more or less come to terms with that now. |
Newton_john, I also went thru this when moving to a new house. I went from a large dedicated audio room to a room almost 1/2 as small, so my large set of speakers had to go. So what I did is buy a smaller, more current speaker sized for the room, from the same manufacturer that I had earlier with the same sound signature that I liked. I then removed the 1st reflection panels that I didn’t need any longer, and bought 2 smaller subs from the same manufacturer that I have owned before and liked. |
