Can This Idea Be A Viable Resource

I’ve been thinking about traveling more now that my wife and I are fully retired. Which lead to me to wonder and lament in equal measure about how I miss my sound system when we travel for a lengthly - more than a week - duration. The idea is can us like minded, trusting but willing to accept liability guidelines, folks, create a network of homes we are willing to rent / trade out - with audiophile grade systems we can shop = like we presently do when we plan a vacation? I would love to spend a week or two in a home with a killer rig that I can test drive -

On the subject of missing your systems so much that you want to find one equivalent while you’re traveling…Well good luck with that!

When I’m traveling I have Qobuz and Spotify and Tidal on my phone and iPad with a decent pair of wired or wireless headphones with also a decent pair of earbuds (Status Pro X) as less cumbersome gear.

When I’m traveling I’m immersed in seeing the sites, meeting new people, experiencing the local cuisine and at the end of my day, winding down relaxing and listening to playlists that I have created on the mediums described above.

For me, nothing replaces my home system’s quality of sound, but like @kennyc suggests, think portable systems for travel enjoyment and renew yourself when you return home. The important thing is listening to the “MUSIC”!!

@stesol - Maybe the idea is a hosting version where we put on listening bar soiree's for traveling audiophiles  - You visit me, I visit you? With curated food, wine and music venues pre-arranged...

Maybe join an audio club, then can send invites to them. I belong to 2 clubs but am not very active.

I would be put the people willing to host on a map.

(I can do the mapping part. Just zip codes, no addresses and still, login for members only)

The problem is: about a 1/3 of people here have wildly differing views and I would respectfully never like to be in a same zip code with them. But that's just me...

….would respectfully never like to be in a same zip code with them

Move to a better zip code?

I am in a fine zip code. I meant if I were to travel, I would avoid their type
