Audio -- Rega, Audio Research, McIntosh

Fishing -- Falcon Rods

I bought one of my numerous Falcon baitcasting rods back in 1993.  In 2025, the reel seat broke.  I contacted Falcon in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to inquire about buying a replacement, and the customer service representative told me to cut the rod and send them the lower section that had the model printed on it.  A week later I received a brand new rod by UPS.  Falcon replaced a $200 32-year-old rod for free (all I paid was $5 postage to mail the rod handle back).  That’s standing behind a product .

Rogue Audio and Ascend Acoustics best customer service I have experienced in many years. Also great amps and speakers.

For technical support, Ayre, Pass Labs and Spatial Audio Lab have been great to work with.  No run around, just accurate info and quick response. Same with Verity Audio before they shut down the business.  I miss those guys.

Conrad Johnson service is peerless.  PEERLESS.  VPI is right up there.  McIntosh has always been good even through ownership changes.  I am glad to see some votes for Audio Research.  I bought 2 amps, a preamp, and an electronic crossover back in the day when founder Bill was still running the show and he screwed me.  In consequence, even though I have always like their products, never again for me.  I should also say PS Audio, Marantz, Denon, Sony, and Kenwood whose products have served me well for decades, but none of these have ever needed any support.  Technics, well, let me say this.  I am on my second turntable, the current SL1200GAE needed service.  Could not get it.  Finally did it myself.  It is a testament to the design that it withstood the onslaught and still works.  Great design.  But Technics service? Not so much.  If anybody knows where to get factory service, please post it.
