2 channel vs headphones

I do very much enjoy the fidelity of my portable headphone rig and while its not super high end, its highly detailed and involving. But the sound of headphones can’t replace the 2 channel system in involvement. When my sub pressurizes the room and I can feel the bass hit my chest or vibrate my body, that’s an involvement that my headphones can’t do. 

Nooooooooo Headphones ever they will kill your hearing.....in the near future everyone will be wearing ears phones just to correct there hearing.Save your money on Headphones....

It is not the headphone which kill hearing is the DB level....

How about a PORTABLE solution like a DAP with a high quality headphones/earphones/iem/ciem.  I have an Astell&Kern SP2000T.  

@limomangus - why would the same number of decibels hitting your ears from headphones be any worse than the same number of decibels coming from speakers? The SPL? The speakers in headphones are miniscule compared to those in loudspeakers. I've been deafened by speakers in homes and venues, but can't say the same about headphones.
