Replacing our 65" TV - Want to Access my Mac Laptop for Music and Photos/Video Content

We are looking to replace our 65" Samsung TV model # QN65Q7FNAF. We really like the picture and the ability to watch Amazon TV. Would like these qualities in our next TV and also be able to hear music and view photos/video from our iPhones, MacBook laptops and iPad. Perhaps picture quality is a personal thing so I won't ask for recommendations for that, but could use ideas or recommendations re. viewing photos and video on TV (via bluetooth I suppose). I'm not a tech person.

The internet router is right next to the TV . Thanks.

You would use Apple Airplay to cast your iPhone, iPad or Mac to your TV.

Air play is built in to most new TV's.  I have cast to LG', Samsung and Hisense TV's

The key is to be on the same network as your TV.  This is in case you use a guest network to segregate devices.

Hi @foamcutter

I have a 9-10 year old Samsung 65” tv.  Look in the app section.  The Amazon app is there. Mine also sees my NAS.  It’s definitely clunky, but it does work.  My wife wants us to get a new one and reminds me every time we go to Sam’s, so I’ll be interested in whatever you decide to get.

All the best.

Doesn’t the Apple TV device (link) offer the capability you are looking for?  I have an almost 20-year old, 65-inch, Panasonic plasma tv that does the very things you mentioned through our Apple TV device.
