The Blues has been my favourite music genre since I started getting into music in the 1960s. I was lucky to see and hear both on record an live many of the greats like, Paul Butterfield, all 3 Kings, BB, Freddie and Albert, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, Jimmy Rogers, Muddy, Waters.... I could go on and on, and I still listen to all those artists.
BUT. For me music is a journey to continue to discover new artists as well as appreciate the old ones.
I find level the of guitar playing technically is now through the roof but sometime at the cost of a lack of feeling and soul. I do respect and enjoys some of the more modern players, mentioned already in this thread like Kingfish Ingram, Robben Ford, Gary Clark and Joe Bonnamassa so....
I thought I’d mention a few names worth checking out that have not yet been mentioned. Artists who have emerged mostly over the last 25 years. Many of them are more modern artists and since we are audiophiles as well as blues fans, many of their releases are pretty well recorded as well. Most have several albums to their names
