Buying a Luxman L505z from Japan

Hey, so I’m looking to purchase a Luxman L505z from Japan - I will need a 120-100v step down transformer . I wanted to find out if anyone has experience with this and if it will compromise the sound in anyway? I saw one from a dealer on eBay with a 99% rating, but I’m unsure if I should trust it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated

I own an Accuphase amp and a Luxman turntable both purchased in Japan.  I purchased a NISSYO industrial transformer from Japan (NDF series (voltage down) 120V 100V1500W NDF-1500U) on Amazon and it works flawlessly with both the amp and turntable.   I did see that you can no longer purchase this transformer on Amazon and I did not look for other sources.

I have since converted the Accuphase to US voltage when I had the amp upgraded  with new caps, resistors and transistors.

PS - Easy to do with Accuphse due to the use of "universal" power transformers.  Not possible with most Luxmans.

@edubbers  They've been in business for probably 10+ years now. All the dealers know they're legit at what service they provide. THATS what pisses them off. If it was not a legit threat nobody would be complaining about them.

A Luxman L-505Z Integrated Amplifier is about 385,00 yen in Japan-about $2500.  Even with shipping and duty that is less than half of what they sell for in the US.  Japanese imports (Like Accuphase) get a big markup in the US.  I have have bought electronics from Japan in the past with no problems.  I wouldn't hesitate to import a Luxman.  In the extremely unlikely event it breaks, you can buy another one new and still come out ahead!
