-Thanks for starting this thread. Different favorites for different moods. Have you watched this version from the David Frost Show? NASA sent one Beatles song into the universe to communicate with extra-terrestrial life, if it exists. Of course it was "Across the Universe." If they can send videos, this is my choice because it shows humans doing one of the things we do best--making and enjoying music. |
@cey -Great song! It was also Chuck Berry's, since it was "inspired" by Berry's, "You Can't Catch Me." Lennon lifted the opening line "Here come old flat-top" directly from Berry's "Here come a flattop, he was movin' up with me," leading to a copyright lawsuit. |
