New speakers or new car?

I was fortunate to spend much less than $50k on my Apogee speakers, which may perform as well as some $50k speakers.

I was also fortunate enough to buy a $50k Hyundai Ioniq 6 for only $40k after the manufacturer's multiple rebates (in 2024).  It comes with free maintenance for 10 yrs. and free charging for 2 yrs., so it was not hard for me to buy it and sell my 27-year old Camry.  It even has a listenable "premium" sound system, but the best thing is that the car is quiet enough to listen to even classical harp while driving on the freeway.

If it was my $50k and decided both, I’d break it into bite sized pieces:

speakers: 15-20k, 20-30k; cars: 15-20k, 20-30k

then compare combos 

Nice to read that so far, no one has contemplated the option of car leasing in order to raise funds for speakers?  On the other hand, given the high rate of churn in high end audio, wouldn't it be nice to have a leasing option for speakers?     

I'm surprised no one has said speakers are in a category all by themselves.  No one should be viewing a cost benefit equation when they contemplate buying speakers.  How many people contemplate not going to church and going someplace else - maybe a bad analogy.

So I rationalized things and believe I should move forward and purchase the speakers which are probably gonna be more than what I thought they would be and then at some point down the road purchase a lovely car probably made in Germany because certain European cars are fine to purchase used from a dealer as I have found countless times.

Further, in the end it just means heirs to my vast fortune will receive that much less and somehow that is OK with me.  And to have some fun I plan to split the speaker pairs between two beneficiaries for the fun of it.

@emergingsoul I suspect whomever your heirs’ estate lawyers & therapists are will applaud the split-the-speaker-pairs plan. Mini-full employment scheme for them! (But I’ll assume you’re joking, and the idea is pretty grin-inducing!)
