New speakers or new car?

ever notice it’s easier to spend $50,000 on speakers than $50,000 on a new car? Why is that. Is it because my living room is not big enough for a car?

Seriously, I need a new car. So maybe I need to come to terms with that and somehow find a way for it to be easier to spend a lot of money on a new car. Maybe it’s because a speaker doesn’t come with annual recurring costs like insurance and all the gasoline or electricity you gotta put into it.

Or maybe I just do both.

electric, yes. Wait 8 months until way better deals come out. Teslas and gasoline cars ultimately support dirty industries

@hilde45 is right.

neither purchase new is very wise…both depreciate from new at an alarming rate. But preowned for both, pay cash, never utilize debt and that way you can enjoy both.

Most of the cost of high-end speakers comes from (1) the cabinet, (2) marketing, and (3) dealer markup. Although high-end speakers are typically not mass-produced and are therefore more expensive, the dealer markup—especially for imported models—is quite excessive. You’re essentially paying for their retirement. Not worth it.

The car is more important if its your Primary transportation but if its a basically unused spare car the get the speakers!

These days, it is almost better to ask…new speakers, or a new house?
Depending on what part of the country you live in, there are new speakers from the usual suspects that are priced at or above a house!!
