Why would you want to add harmonic distortion? That is counter to the goal of being true to the source.

At the high gain setting (+4; 12 dB), its harmonic distortion (HD) is similar to the Valhalla 3 driving 300-ohm headphones in high gain. By comparison, the buffer stage in the Freya+ has slightly less second-order HD and a quieter background. However, for $99, you get a linear power supply (almost unheard of at this price) and a respectable noise level. It might be worth trying if you have no prior experience with tube sound or tube rolling.
