The latest declaration regarding the upcoming Capitol Records 1-Step pressing of Pet Sounds. I think it addresses all the questions about it and the 2-LP mono/stereo release:

Finally a really good sounding LP pressing of Pet Sounds?
Pet Sounds has long been held in high regard musically, but not sonically (my 1966 mono LP sounds like a 3rd-generation copy made at 3-3/4ips) The video below is a 4-way discussion of the upcoming 1-Step LP that is claimed to change that situation.

Okay fellas, here’s a great video on the subject of ALL the pressings of Pet Sounds, done by a YouTube content maker new to me. He goes by the moniker of "Beach Boyman" (funny!), and I really like him. I also agree with his assessment of the sound quality of the versions of the album I’ve heard. Like him, my vote goes to the Analogue Productions 33-1/3 mono pressing. For now, that is. I’m really hoping the upcoming 1-Step version provides a new level of sound quality to this admittedly mediocre sounding recording.
