Floor spikes for speakers?

I have Revel Studio 2 speakers with 2 SVS subs in a rather large, treated and carpeted room.  I bought the speakers with no floor spikes but I'd like to know what would happen to the sound if I put them on spikes.

+ however many.  Townshend Podiums beat everything;  spikes, Gaia footers, Gaia footers with carpet spikes, spikes on top of marble plates, no spikes.  I've tried them all.  They are expensive and effective.  Period.  Good hunting.

I would try the Townshend Audio Podiums to put the Studio 2 on top of. These things are magic.

I put my Yamaha NS5000 speakers on them and cranked some very dynamic music to see what the Podiums do? First of all, the bass immediately sounded tighter. I then put a finger on the Podium and noticed the Podium was vibrating like crazy with the hard driving music that I was playing very loud. The speaker itself was not moving.

OP,

Any high quality isolation puck will be a big improvement over nothing, but don't bother with cheap steel spikes.
