Chat, A-S class D and Klipsch

Thinking about new speakers to go with Atma-Sphere Class D's
checking with chat GPT it recommends Klipsch forte's google
recommends 0/96's so I am wondering what others are using?

Using Luxman 590AXII (30 wpc class A); plenty of power and sounds great with Forte IV's.

If you have the extra dough, I would go for the Klipsch Cornwall IV.  Much better bass, and a much fuller sound.  If I wasn’t already committed to my JBL’s, that is what I would go with. They are extremely efficient and will go with any amp.

I agree and think a horn/folded horn speaker or single driver speaker might do the trick. I have Charney Audio Companions (with the AER BD3s) and also own A-S Class D amps. My system is very musical while still revealing details. No fatigue whatsoever on long listening sessions. I also pair these with SVS subs. I have not listened to the A-S Ds with Klipsch, but also previously owned Rethm speakers which had very similar attributes to the Charney's. These high efficiency speakers really show the magic of the AS mono amps.

The speakers you (AI) mention have a fairly dramatic price point difference. It may be helpful to know what your price point is. I don't know where you are located, but you are welcome to have a listen here (New Orleans) and Charney Audio is located in NJ and would definitely be worth a stop.

…… more "musical" or engaging.

Agree that Klipsch and especially Devore o/96 are musical speakers, but for increased musicality/engagement it’s usually the electronics preamp and/or amp and it’s often done with tubes to increase the harmonics of midrange.

Warmth in SS can be Class A, sliding class A, GanFet, or engineered to a high enough level that chasing tube warmth doesn’t matter anymore.

@miles765 what are you using for a preamplifier?

kennyc, I'm using a A-S mp-3, doing a little tube rolling right now

dseltz, good to hear high efficiency work well, I'm in a small town in Colorado, couple hour drive to denver to listen to some speakers but nobody will have A-S amps. trying to stay under 10,

thanks for the replys
