Should AI generated posts be banned or otherwise regulated?

I just wonder.

At least, when I start a new thread, I am expecting other people's opinions.  I can get my own AI response so I am not sure why others would repeat what I can do myself.

If someone were to have access to some better AI than I have access to, I guess that would be useful info I could not otherwise get.  But in general, I wonder why posters think responding with AI content is useful to someone who can get that directly themselves.

Nope let it run you decide if it's true that's half the fun. Musk said just pull the plug if it gets out of control. That's what I did when my electric car clicked and went wot. Enjoy the music

Sure...I am no censor.  It just seems some people are losing their ability to think critically. Or at all. Maybe this is just a more obvious symptom of something that has been true for a long time.

I appreciate the formatting of AI quotes in that they are instantly recognizable so that i just scroll. They are completely useless to me.

I would certainly prefer to not see AI answers to questions about stereo. This site has been very helpful to me when people talk about their direct experience. I can ask AI questions, too, if needed. But it can't tell me how it feels to have that speaker in that room under those conditions. I'm here to find out how real people do things, and hear things, even if it is not exactly conventional "best practice." I just skip over the AI generated answers, and can continue to do that - it's not that big a deal.

But if I had a vote, I'd vote to keep it centered on our own direct experiences.
