I don't know guys... Using a good system high in transparency (DC Ether CX), and then state 1 cable sounds better than another. Seems as clear cut as it gets. Headphones do not interfere with the room and this is a significant advantage in terms of sound quality.
It's not by accident that Head-fi (primarily headphones) is also a forum that really love their quality cables.
If you can't trust your hearing and must rely on measurements, then your belief is as good as how flawed the measuring process is.
Topping dacs measure well beyond human audibility. There's no point to make anymore dacs. But somehow, they seem to be making 50 new dacs a year. Each one better than the last.
Topping released this new Topping DX9 dac and people are saying "Guys, this is the best Topping dac ever, all the older ones that measured flawlessly, those sound sterile and harsh, this one that also measures perfectly, is MUCH better"
