Question about bypassing Oppo dac

Hello all

I want to bypass the DAC in my Oppo 203 bdp, But the sources I have consulted indicate that the only way to do that is with either a coaxial or an HDMI connection. However, I have been told that the SACD format requires analog connections to function fully SACD quality. I am using Buchardt Powered speakers, which have their own DAC built-in, And a Primare sc15 Music streamer. I would appreciate any input and help anybody could provide.

GeerFab makes a box that strips out the SACD codec and sends it out.  It's gotten pretty good reviews.

I use the GeerFAB and it sounds incredible with a great DAC. Even with an average DAC the SACDs are well worth the listen via the GeerFAB. There is a cheaper Chinese alternative that is touted on here. I am not interested in that since the $600 GeerFAB sounds great and is an American product.

I use a $150 used OPPS BD???. You need to take the HDMI from the OPPO to the GeerFAB. Then take SPDIF from the GeerFAB to you DAC.

The important consideration is that the DAC needs to support DSD over PCM (DoP), I just checked the Buchardt Powered web site, and it seems that this is a wireless connection and a SPDIF could not be connected to the MASTER speaker (not sure if that concept even exists here).

I have a Bryston DAC3 that has 4 HDMI inputs so I program the Oppos to output DSD over HDMI
