Audio Signal Run Through a Banana

This article has been around a while but I thought it was pretty funny.  Running signal through mud, bananas, common wire, etc. in a blind listening test.

I have expensive cables. I'm still not sure I have gotten value for my outlay. For sure not big value-  at least not like the radical change in my rig when I added Wilsons.

A friend sent this to me earlier today. It is obviously written by a non-audiophile that probably has hearing aids still in their plastic wrap. This friend is always telling me that audio gear is a big sham and that one doesn’t sound different from another. He sent me a couple articles last year that explained that electrons travel alone wire at the same speed and are not affected at all by material etc.

I have thought of offering him a sit down session and do some A-B comparisons, but I never bother because his mind is convinced that he is right and the audio industry is wrong so why bother. And even if he and all his research and articles are correct, as long as I hear a difference, I’m in!

Yesiam-a-pirate, just noticed your moniker. Are by chance 200 years too late?

Let your ears decide ,not anyone else , every ear hears a bit different ,we all have frequency loss from age ,and loud music or sounds through the years ,
