RUSH was my favorite band for 30+ years. I've seen them many times and my wife I met indirectly because of them (a Rush message board) and it was great to see them playing again. Anika is awesome and will easily be able to do what's needed, regardless of what people say about her capabilities. Geddy's voice tho, no bueno. It sounded better than it did during the 2015 tour, but that's not saying much. Stuff happens as we age, and especially if you don't take care of yourself, or in this case, your voice.

Nice when hard rock bands start smiling for pictures and on stage. Guess thats not cool when your a teen. Rush started awhile back even putting goofy, funny props on stage. Good rockumentry on them a few years back. They came across as authentically very professional and nice guys.

Alot of respect as they didnt seem to be hard partyers and even mentioned theyd shy away from after show partys and just go back to their hotels to chile.

I’m headed to the first Cleveland show in September. Very excited to see this.

Anika in my opinion lacks that male upper body mass and strength that drummers like The Professor have.

Poor little waif.  At least she is able to make up for that extreme handicap with extreme skill.

@jji666    Rush will just heavily amplify and boost the level of output on the drum kit, problem solved. Bottom line the Anika decision was a win/win for Rush. It makes the band appear 21st century PC, it avoids any direct comparison to Neil Peart and still provides a slight "rock" circus atmosphere.
