Andrew Jones - New Company, New Speaker - Field Coil Concentric

It appears Andrew Jones has started his own company, "Jones & Cerreta" and will be showcasing a new speaker with a field coil concentric driver at Axpona.

I am excited to audit this speaker and talk to him at Axpona in a couple of weeks.

I just wanted to apologize.  I feel like I’ve hijacked your thread and I really did not mean to.

All the best.

Jim

I’m a big Andrew Jones fan and loved the sound of TAD and SourcePoint speakers.  I’d love to demo his new field coil speakers, but cannot get away for this year’s AXPONA.

I should have mentioned my second choice when I auditioned for my purchase of my retirement system.  The Sonus Farber Amati.  It does everything the G3 does in comparison to your D3 but with a different pallet based on brand design philosophy    The Amati presents as organic and romantic, the G3 stresses clarity.  I must admit, tone and timbre are more akin to reality than the G3.  Think of the Amati presenting as in row 20 of Carnegie with all its romantic glory and the G3 presenting as in row 1of David Griffin Hall Lincoln Center with its forward clarity and transient speed.  Staging and imaging on both excellent.  The Amati with more dark, dense images, the G3 dense, but lighter in color, sharper edges, and more palpable.  The G3 is one of the leading edge and transient speed champions.  Think of the difference between current Audio Research Reference products vs. Burmester products if you are familiar with their sound.  The Amati is more dear new and pre owned.  The G3 lower I believe because of its eccentric industrial design that you hate or love.  Any SF model is simply gorgeous in a traditional way.  Again, no right or wrong.  You may want to audition a SF model in budget compared to Vivid.

I’m guessing they will release the price at Axpona?

Anyway my guess is 25k per pair. Anyone want to get on some betting action. Lol
