The question isn’t whether someone smoke in the house, but if the gear itself smells like an ashtray and stinks up your house. It can be very, very challenging to get the smoke smell out; even more so if a thoughtful seller doused the thing in Febreze, leaving you to deal with the revolting Febreze stench, which is even harder to get out than smoke.

I am somewhat incredulous about how metal can absorb smoke. The stuff inside: yes. It’s been a while I have been in a heavy smokers’ house. Heavy weed smokers’ yes, there is a lot of those around here, from where I don’t walk but float out. I guess the same damage to the gear? Btw just called the tech, the f-in battery still hasn't arrived |
@rocray , 😄 Well, unless it’s coming from Mordor in Middle Earth, it should have arrived a week ago. A quick look up on line and I found one for $16 in New York, and if my geography is correct, that’s a tad closer than Middle Earth. Could be coming by Orc, I suppose... |
